Your Support Makes A Difference
About Us
Family Service's Emergency Assistance programs align with the United Way family and work supports strategies. In 2017, we served a total of 20,668 individuals, representing 8,855 households.

We are a non-profit 501c3 charity in partnership with United Way of Greater Cincinnati and Feeding America strategically located in downtown Middletown, on the bus line. We are just off of Route 4, which is a main thoroughfare in the area. Family Service serves families and individuals living at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines as defined by the USDA in the communities of Middletown, Monroe, Franklin, Trenton, and Madison.
Food insecurity, or uncertain access to adequate food, is a very real problem. According to the USDA, more than one in seven American households – 49 million individuals, including 12 million children – struggle to have enough to eat. You probably know a family that struggles with keeping food on the table on a regular basis; Most of us do. To help these people, we all need to get involved.
